Simple Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup hot water
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease your baking tin.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla essence.
- Mix until smooth.
- Add hot water slowly and mix gently.
- Pour into the prepared tin.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool before frosting or serving.
