Queen Cakes Recipe

Queen cakes are simple, soft and suitable for tea breaks, school snacks and beginner baking. They are smaller than cupcakes and easy to pack.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Prepare queen cake cases or a small cake tray.
  3. Beat margarine or butter with sugar until light.
  4. Add eggs one at a time.
  5. Add vanilla essence.
  6. Add flour mixture and milk in turns.
  7. Fill cases halfway to two-thirds full.
  8. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes until golden.
