Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe
Chocolate cupcakes are useful for birthdays, school treats, office snacks and cupcake gift boxes. They are easy to serve and easy to decorate.
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup hot water
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a cupcake tray.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
- Add eggs, oil, milk and vanilla essence.
- Mix until smooth.
- Add hot water slowly and mix gently.
- Fill cupcake cases about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes.
- Cool completely before decorating.
