Banana Bread Recipe
Banana bread is a good way to use ripe bananas. It is soft, simple and useful for breakfast, tea time and family snacks.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil or melted margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a loaf tin.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl.
- Add eggs, oil and vanilla essence.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt separately.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients.
- Pour into the loaf tin.
- Bake for 40 to 55 minutes.
- Cool before slicing.
