Confirm the event purpose and approved language
State whether the cake celebrates the organization, a leader, volunteers, a youth group or another milestone. If a scripture phrase or ministry theme is requested, provide the exact text the organizers have approved instead of asking the baker to choose one.
Check the spelling of church, ministry and leader names carefully when they are part of the design.
Choose visual elements from the specific event
Use event colours, a simple logo or a clean celebration palette according to the organizer's preference. Avoid adding symbols or imagery simply because the event is religious if the group has not requested them.
A message-led or colour-led cake can remain respectful while still looking celebratory in photographs.
Plan for the programme and group size
Share the expected attendance, whether refreshments already include dessert and when cake will be presented. Assign a receiving contact and a serving team member, especially for larger gatherings where the main organizer may be occupied.
Final size, flavour and pricing should be confirmed from the actual serving plan and selected decoration.
